Spiritual Emphasis Week

Please be in prayer for our middle school and high school students as we prepare for Spiritual Emphasis Week. Our guest speaker will again be Jay Sanders from Word of Life. The dates for spiritual emphasis are October 1st - 3rd. We are believing God for great things during this revival.

5K Visits the Fire Station

Next week our kindergarteners will be visiting our local fire station. Our students will enjoy seeing a fire station, meeting actual fire fighters, and even testing out the fire hose themselves. What a wonderful way to find out more about our community!

Health Screenings

Sixth and seventh graders will be participating in our health screenings next Tuesday, September 30th. Both classes will go through the scoliosis screening. A permission form went home at the beginning of the school year letting you know that we would be conducting this screening. Please be sure your student wears a solid light colored shirt or top on Tuesday to aid in screening.

Students in grades 5K - 5th grade will have their vision checked and 5K,1st, 2nd, and 5th graders will have their hearing checked. Students need to have a signed permission slip to participate in the evaluations.
Snow Cones!
The girl's basketball team will be selling snow cones every Friday in the elementary after school care program until it gets too cold for the  students to eat them. The snow cones will be $2 each. Help support the team and keep your child hydrated at the same time!
Grandparent's Days

October 9th and 10th will be the dates for this year's Grandparent's Days.  5K-2nd grade will have their day on the 9th and PS, 3-5th will have their day on the 10th.  For more information, contact your child's teacher.

Homecoming Week

The Student Government is in the beginning stages of planning for this year's homecoming parade. If you or someone you know would be interested in having your business represented in the parade, please contact the high school office and we will put you in touch with our SGA president, Chandler Stutler. This year's festivities will be October 16th for our annual Powder Puff game and October 17th for the parade and homecoming game. More details about dress-up days and all the events will be available soon.

Students Gather to Pray
Last week, our middle school and high schoolers participated in a world-wide day of prayer when they gathered around the flag pole for a time of student led prayer and worship for their friends, classmates and our community. They met before school started to participate in See You at the Pole. We are thankful to see God moving in our students' hearts.
Have a blessed week!
