Exhibition Film Series
WATER
With climate change, pollution, and privatization - water, our most valuable resource, has become a hot topic. This film series takes a look at water through many different perspectives to consider its beauty and life-giving nature, the animals that live in it, how we use it, and what can be done to conserve and protect it.

Sonic Sea
Wednesday, September 28th
2:00 p.m.

This documentary film explores the critical role of sound in the sea, and the dramatic changes human activity is inflicting on the ocean's delicate acoustic habitat that threaten the ability of whales and other marine animals to survive.

THE SEX TAPES: Sex, Gender, and Identity
This film series brings together films that explore the ways we shape our sense of self in those most intimate moments, when we confront ourselves as sexual, gendered, embodied people. Join Daytona State College professor Eric Breitenbach and other guest faculty for film introductions and post screening discussions. All films will be shown, when possible, with captions for the hearing impaired.

Family Photo Fun Day
Family Portraits and Photo Frames (All skill levels)
Enjoy an afternoon of free parent-child art and photography sessions designed for children aged 6-12 and led by skilled and supportive staff members.

Saturday, October 1, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Fall is right around the corner, so celebrate the change in season with a free family portrait session at the Southeast Museum of Photography!

Our backdrop will be decorated in a fall theme (pumpkins, hay bales, flowers, etc.) so be sure to wear (or bring along) clothing that will compliment the scene. As a bonus, kids will have the opportunity to create custom wooden photo frames using a special transfer technique. They will be able to choose from a variety of fall images to transfer to their frame, then finish it by adding their family portrait. Don't miss out on this exciting activity!

Please note: Pre-registration is required for this workshop. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
