UNDER THE SEA: Custom Cyanotypes
Kids are invited to create their own ocean-themed artwork during this hands-on activity!
Saturday, October 24, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
A Cyanotype (also called a sun print) is a traditional alternative photographic process that requires pre-sensitized paper, found objects, the sun, and water, to produce a beautiful cyan-blue print.
The museum will supply an array of pre-printed transparencies-featuring cool graphics/silhouettes of sea creatures and ocean life - though children are welcome to simply grab a handful of sea shells or shark teeth and arrange them on their own.
Please note: Part of this activity will be held outdoors in full sun, and participants will be working with water. Please dress accordingly!
