January 31 & February 1, 2015

Aptly named "Noor," meaning "light" in Persian, the Noor Film Festival makes reference to the key element of light used in the art of filmmaking as well as the festival's purpose to "shed light" on Iranian culture and heritage.

An Evening with K-von

Comedian K-von will kick-off the Iranian Film Festival in Daytona Beach this year by introducing Nowruz- Lost & Found, a documentary film that he wrote and directed. This film is a comedic journey in which he retraces his previously unknown Iranian roots and discovers the dancing, food, clothing and traditions involved in the Persian New Year.

The Ancient Persia - Modern Iran Program Series is a joint presentation of the Iranian American Society, Bethune-Cookman University, Daytona State College, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University,the Southeast Museum of Photography and the Department of Cultural Arts at Daytona State College.

MUSEUM LOCATION
Unless noted otherwise, all museum exhibitions, events and films are presented at the Southeast Museum of Photography which is located on the Daytona Beach campus of Daytona State College at 1200 International Speedway Blvd, three miles east of I-95. The museum is located in the Mori Hosseini Center (Bld. 1200). Visitor parking is available. Gallery Admission is free.
