Upcoming Summer Youth Programs
SUMMER CAMP -
There's still time to sign up!
June 9-26, 2014 (Three weekly sessions)
Monday - Thursday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Cost: $185 per child, per weekly session

These fun, creative and fast-paced camps are designed for ages 8-15 and introduce them to the principles of photography and filmmaking - learn the mechanics of digital manipulation, lighting, shooting and editing techniques. No previous experience is necessary as campers receive hands-on instruction and inspiration.

Structured as one-week sessions that follow a particular theme, participants have the option of registering for one, two, or three week sessions. Separate activities are designed for campers ages 8-11 and ages 12-15.

Upcoming Summer Youth Programs
DIGITAL PHOTO ACADEMY
July 7-18, 2014 (Two week session)
Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Cost: $360 for the 2 week session.
*Limited scholarships available.

SMP's Digital Academy is a two-week, intensive digital photography program designed for young adults ages 14-17.
 
 
Geared towards students with a serious interest in photography, this program provides a "college campus connection" and provides access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Students will have an opportunity to learn about a range of photographic styles and careers and by the end of the program will have created a portfolio and prepared a gallery exhibition featuring their best work.

Registrants must be available to attend both weeks in order to successfully produce a photographic portfolio and participate in the final gallery exhibition.

Now in its third year, a wide photographic terrain is covered in this year's annual University of Central Florida Thesis Exhibition. This work is a culmination of four years of study in photography involving explorations of topics that are both personal and public.

MUSEUM LOCATION

Unless noted otherwise, all museum exhibitions, events and films are presented at the Southeast Museum of Photography which is located on the Daytona Beach campus of Daytona State College at 1200 International Speedway Blvd, three miles east of I-95.
