Skill of the Month:

Stick The Landing

How a gymnast finishes a skill (sticks the landing) is an important part of the skill. By sticking a landing, the gymnast will show strength, control, and awareness of space. Sometimes how we finish a skill is actually how we go into the next skill

(a.k.a. connect skills).

Student evaluations took place in September.  Once all evaluations are complete, results will be posted in your customer portal.

Water Breaks

Students and Parents,

We ask if you bring a water bottle to class please step off the gym floor to get a drink.  Having students cut through other classes to use their water bottle from the gym side of the half wall has become a safety issue.  Also remind your child to speak with their coach before leaving their group.

Thank you for helping us to resolve this issue!

Make-up Policy Reminders:

Tuition is not pro-rated for absences. 2014-2015 Giving Project

The Star team is sponsoring Operation Christmas Child.

Our goal is to collect items to fill 60 boxes, and collect $420 for shipping.   For those of you who are unfamiliar with Operation Christmas Child, it is a project run by Samaritan's Purse. Operation Christmas child demonstrates God's love to children in a tangible way by partnering with churches worldwide to deliver gift filled boxes to those in need.

If you are interested in helping you can make a cash and /or gift donation. A drop box for all gifts will be located at Sonshine Gymnastics. If you would like to make a cash donation, please stop by the front desk, where the cash box will be located.

*Please note that all cash donations must be received no later than 10/18/2014, (each shoe box costs $7.00 to ship). If we exceed our shipping total we will use the rest of the money to purchase additional supplies/gifts.

*All gift donations must fit in a 6 x 11.5 x 4 shoe box and must be received no later than 10/25/2014. Please see the flyer available at Sonshine for a list of donation ideas/items. Also, remember that we need to fit multiple items in each box. We will be filling boxes for girls, ages 5 - 14.
