All adults who are discerning membership are asked to attend Reveille Today, a class designed by members to help visitors learn more about our church. Reveille Today consists of three sessions over three weeks. These sessions focus on getting to know The United Methodist Church and the congregation at Reveille so you can understand its ministries and the opportunities offered for worship, discipleship and service. Our last session centers on discerning your individual spiritual gifts so you can begin thinking about how you can best serve God and humanity in the church and in the world. The next Reveille Today class begins Sunday, January 13 and will continue January 20 and 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Reveille House Dining Room. Child care will be provided. Celebrate AA's 7 years at Reveille

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) has been meeting at Reveille United Methodist Church for the last 7 years. AA is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. Come celebrate their 7-year anniversary during the open AA meeting on Monday, January 7 from 7-9pm in the fellowship hall. The celebration is a potluck and all are invited to participate.

Reveille Seeks Facilities Manager

Church staff opening Reveille is now accepting applications for a Facilities Manager. This is a full-time salaried position, Monday through Friday and some weekends during special occasions, as needed. For application information and job description, go to the Reveille website.

Wonderful Wednesday Takes a Break

Wonderful Wednesday is on a short holiday break. Please join us again for our fellowship meal on January 9.

Do You Like A Cappella Music?

Concert If you love a cappella music, this concert is for YOU: the Cornell University Glee Club will give their final tour concert at Reveille on Tuesday, January 15 at 7:00 pm in our sanctuary! And for your convenience, we will have a Terrific Tuesday dinner this week instead of Wonderful Wednesday, so make your reservation, come eat dinner at 6:00 pm, then stay for the concert. This 45-voice all-male a cappella group was formed in the mid-1800's, and has toured all over the world. In the early 1960's, they toured Asia and performed for 100 million people. Don't miss this rare opportunity!

Start the New Year in Music Ministry!

If you have been meaning to join the choir, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE! This is the perfect opportunity to join a choir at Reveille, and here is what we will be working on:

Jesus Christ Superstar: Rehearsals for Congregational Chorus members begin Sunday, January 6: you may attend from 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm, or from 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm, in the choir room. Or if you need a weeknight rehearsal, please email Cathy Armistead, or call 359-6041 x123. Performances will be offered to the Richmond Metropolitan area and beyond in July, 2013, in our sanctuary; we already have a cast of 62 - let's make it 62 more!

Life School Musical: In addition to learning scriptural music for worship services, the Elementary, Primary and Cherub Choirs will be working on their spring musical, "Life School Musical", to be presented three times in April! For the schedule of Children's Choir rehearsals, please click on the Music Calendar, or email Tamara Nicely, Assistant Director of Music.

Messiah, Part III, and Five Mystical Songs: In addition to working on music for worship, the adult Chancel Choir will be learning Messiah: Part III and Ralph Vaughn Williams' Five Mystical Songs, to be presented on May 17 and May 19. Please join us on Thursdays at 7:00 pm for Sunday anthem rehearsal and at 8:00 pm for concert rehearsal. Email Cathy Armistead or call 359-6041 x123.
