Support the Swansboro Fall Festival on November 3
The Swansboro PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is putting on a community fall festival Saturday, November 3 from 12:00 noon to 4: 00 pm. Gather your friends and family and enjoy the festivities. Reveille groups are supporting the event by hosting a cake walk and bake sale and staffing a popcorn machine. If you love to bake, we are in need of more cakes and many homemade goodies. Also, we need people (including older children!) to staff the various booths we are sponsoring. Please prayerfully consider how you or your small group can get involved and contact Laura Holdych, Swansboro Champion, here or call the church office, 359-6041, ext. 111. Swansboro Elementary School is located at 3160 Midlothian Turnpike.

"Are you Saved?"
The Point Looks at Salvation during November
"Are you saved?" is a question thrown around a lot these days, but do you know how to answer? Throughout the month of November, The Point will examine the idea of salvation from the United Methodist understanding. Our relationships with God and with one another are broken because of the disease of sin, but Jesus Christ is our ultimate healer. Join The Point at 9:30 on Sundays mornings in the fellowship hall as we take a good look at "The Way of Salvation."

Elementary Choir Lock-in
For the first time ever members of Elementary Choir will have a lock-in on Friday and Saturday, November 9 and 10, in our youth center. The evening will include a trip to Laser Quest, games, crafts, movies and lots of food! Adding to the fun, Elementary Choir will work on their Christmas musical, "Camel-lot," which will be presented in our sanctuary on December 12. Tamara Nicely, Assistant Director of Music and Director of Elementary Choir, would like to thank the many, many parents who have volunteered to drive, bring food, spend the night and help with crafts. It could not be done without you.
There will be a second lock-in in February, to work on the spring musical, "Life School Musical." If your child would like to be a part of the fun, ask him or her to join Elementary Choir in January.
