Portable evaporative cooler.
Cooling the Outdoor Room -
and Other Locations

MURFREESBORO, TENNESSEE

Here's a product from Munters that cools the air, whether that air is inside the house or outside, and it does so by evaporation.

By using water, and a series of mechanisms such as pumps and evaporative media, an evaporative cooler can significantly lower ambient temperatures.

Which, in case you haven't noticed, is very much in need these days.

All Munters' portable evaporative coolers use rigid evaporative media to facilitate the evaporation process, and fans to deliver the cooled air into the environment.

Here's the process of an evaporative cooler:
  1. Water is introduced to the cooler - either in a reservoir,
    or by a continuous connection.
  2. A pump moves the water to the top of the evaporative media.
  3. Gravity pulls the water across the media, saturating the
    media with water.
  4. A fan pulls outside, hot air through the saturated media.
  5. When the hot, outside air contacts the water on the media, evaporation occurs, cooling the air.
  6. The fan pushes the cooled air into the environment.

How much do evaporative coolers cool?
A range of possible temperature drops is 10 to 27 degrees F. This range is directly affected by humidity and temperature. If you're in a desert climate with high temperatures, you can expect much more cooling than someone in a humid, cool climate.

Where to use evaporative coolers
Use Munters portable evaporative cooling units to extend
your summertime enjoyment on your patios, around your pools, or during outdoor events such as barbecues, birthday parties and holidays. Cool areas outdoors with powerful fans delivering cool air produced by the process of evaporation. Just as you receive a chill climbing out of the pool in the summer, Munte evaporative cooling units can cool an outdoor living area.

Bongaerts, well-known as president of commercial furnishings company Beaufurn, created the new company to expand into the luxury outdoor furnishings market.

"There's nothing like it in the North American market," he says. "The modern lines, the European design and custom options create an unmatched outdoor environment for dining, lounging or entertaining."

The new company's product line includes high-tech Shelters, Cabanas and Umbrellas.

Shelters
Every Shelter is made to the customer's specifications. Whether the situation calls for a freestanding or wall-mounted Shelter, no space is too large to be accommodated.

The powder-coated aluminum structure houses a multitude of high-tech conveniences to increase comfort and extend the usage period. Remote-controlled, motorized, aluminum louvered ceiling panels open for increased airflow and close for protection from sun and rain.

Motorized side and back roller panels, adjusted by remote control, are integrated into the structure for a seamless look. Panels come in canvas or screen material; PVC windows are optional.

Other options are a 2,000-watt, frame-mounted heater; rain and wind sensors that close the louvered ceiling for protection from the weather and roll-up the side panels to protect them from wind damage; and LED lighting that can be seamlessly integrated into the louvered panels, creating a space that can used night and day.

Cabanas
Cabanas have the same sleek Belgian styling as the Shelters, but with a smaller footprint. The square and rectangular frames feature a retractable, water-resistant canvas roof and tracks for side curtains.

P6 Uno Round.

Umbrellas
Shelter Outdoor offers two umbrella styles: the P6 (cantilevered multi-pole) and the P50 (single pole). P6 umbrellas feature the patented One Move system, a gas-spring pole mechanism that raises or lowers the umbrella in a single movement.
