The Launch of Celerie Kemble
for Lane Venture

CONOVER, NORTH CAROLINA

Celerie Kemble.
Lane Venture and Celerie Kemble have set High Point's Spring Market for the introduction of a new licensed collection of outdoor furniture. The collection will debut with over 50 items designed by Kemble utilizing a variety of outdoor materials and techniques. This introduction follows last spring's highly successful introductions at sister companies Henredon and Maitland-Smith.

While development is well underway, Kemble is now finalizing the last group of designs with Lane Venture vice president of Design and Development, Zac Bryant. Patti Frye, the company's Fabric manager is also working with Celerie and key resources to create the fabric line specifically designed for the new collection.

"We're excited to be working with Celerie to develop her unique style for outdoor," said Lane Venture president Gary McCray. "With this collection we're committed to supporting a depth of SKUs that will allow the designer or salesperson to specify for their client exactly what's needed to create the perfect outdoor environment."

Kemble is also excited about the progress.

"I can't wait to show the collection we have been working on," she says. "It marries the comfort and sophisticated design sensibility I expect of interior furniture, with the technical and practical functions needed for outdoor."

Kemble is a principal of Kemble Interiors, based in Palm Beach and New York. Her books include, "To Your Taste: Creating Modern Rooms with a Traditional Twist" and "Black and White (and a Bit in Between): Timeless Interiors, Dramatic Accents, and Stylish Collections."

Lane Venture is a leading marketer and manufacturer of made-to-order outdoor furniture located in Conover, North Carolina.

NorthCape Redesigns Website for
Better User Experience

ALSIP, ILLINOIS

Outdoor furniture and accessories manufacturer NorthCape International has recently redesigned its corporate website with a focus on improving the user experience and providing better resources for dealers.

NorthCape president Tom Murray said, "We've invested in developing a corporate website that is not just pretty to look at, but also easy to use; it provides easy access to the resources that our dealers ask for most frequently."

The new website, includes the following site enhancements:
  • Optimized layouts for desktop computers, tablets and mobile devices. Site optimization allows improved access to information whether the user is in an office setting or on the go. Information gathering is much quicker and easier than on a non-optimized website.
  • Usability and organizational improvements. The site has been configured to allow users to access the information they seek in as few clicks as possible. By streamlining the site map, NorthCape hopes to increase functionality.
  • Higher-quality imagery. The quality and size of the images appearing on the website, and available to NorthCape dealers, has increased dramatically from the resources available on the previous website. Dealers, especially, will be happy that images of collections and individual pieces are available in the Dealer Tools section in high resolution.
  • Easier site maintenance. The new content management system has already made a difference when editing and adding content to the website. Versatility and ease of use are two features that help ensure that NorthCape's web content is updated and accurate.
  • Addition of dealer locator. Users may search for local dealers by city and state, or by ZIP code, with search results producing a map of the closest NorthCape dealers along with contact information.
