Galtech International issued its 2013 sales achievement awards at the company's annual sales meetings held in Chicago at the Casual Furniture Market.
In recognition of an outstanding 2013 season, Dave Harmelink of Grand Rapids, Michigan, was named as the 2013 Sales Representative of the Year. The following sales representatives were also recognized for their outstanding sales achievements during the 2013 season: John Benner and Ron O'Meara of Southern California; Gray Dobbins and Justin Carter of Dunwoody, Georgia; and Bob Oresman of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

NorthCape Relocates Corporate Headquarters & Warehouse
ALSIP, ILLINOIS
Outdoor furniture and accessories manufacturer NorthCape International has relocated its corporate headquarters and warehouse from Bedford Park, Illinois to a larger facility in Alsip, Illinois.
NorthCape (NCI) president Tom Murray said, "This move will increase efficiency for all aspects of the business and position NCI well for continued growth and improved service."
The new Alsip facility is approximately 50 percent larger than the previous headquarters location in Bedford Park. Office space has tripled and manufacturing space has doubled.

Phifer Welcomes Two New Designers to Its Fabric Design Team
TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA
Phifer Incorporated, world-class textile designer and manufacturer, is proud to announce and welcome Raymond Neuse and Monica Thornton as its new textile designers.
Neuse rejoins the Phifer design team, bringing more than 18 years of experience in the textile industry and 20-plus years as a freelance artist. He has used his skill and expertise to design a variety of different types of fabrics, from indoor/outdoor and home décor, to novelty and flooring. Neuse possesses a keen artistic eye, and his educational credits include a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from the Memphis College of Art, art studies at a consortium in New York and attendance at The Governor's School for the Arts.
With more than 23 years of experience, Thornton brings with her a vast, in-depth knowledge of the textile industry as both a designer and customer. Thornton's resume includes experience in textile design, as a consultant in outdoor furniture development, a design manager for an outdoor furniture company and as creative director with a replacement cushion company. Thornton holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in interior design from the University of West Georgia.
"I am very excited to add these two talented artists to our design team," said Carol Harkey, CMG and Phifer's vice president of Design. "Raymond and Monica will address trends and color directions while meeting with customers on a regular basis to better understand their respective markets. This close individual attention will ensure that each customer's needs and expectations are met and exceeded," Harkey said.
Phifer is currently making appointments for fall presentations of its new Designed Fabrics trends, forecasting the most anticipated colors and designs in the indoor/outdoor furniture fabrics industry.
