HGTV Star Lori Dennis

Partners with Heat & Glo

LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA

HGTV star and interior designer Lori Dennis has partnered with

Heat & Glo with the release of the brand new REVO fireplace and the "Where Will You Revo" contest. Contest entries will compete for the grand prize, a new REVO gas fireplace ($6,000 value) or one of seven $100 American Express gift card weekly prizes.

REVO.
REVO, the thinest AFUE-rated fireplace ever made, is available in square, linear and vertical models, all featuring slender, seven-in. deep profiles and a patented Razor burner for a sleek look. The contemporary series can easily be installed during any stage of building and in a single trip.

Once a hole is made in the wall and SLP venting pipe is set, the lightweight unit is hung on mounting brackets. No footprint and no exterior chase is required. The slender models quickly fill their compact fireboxes to produce heat output up to 24,000 Btus.

Builder Confidence Gains

for Fourth Straight Month

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Homebuilder confidence in the new single-family housing market rose three points to 59 on the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI) for August. This fourth consecutive monthly gain brings the index to its highest level in nearly eight years.

"Builders are seeing more motivated buyers walk through their doors than they have in quite some time," said NAHB chairman Rick Judson. "Firming home prices and thinning inventories of homes for sale are contributing to an increased sense of urgency among those who are in the market."

Two of the HMI's three components posted gains in August. The component gauging current sales conditions rose three points to 62, while the component gauging sales expectations in the next six months gained a single point to 68 and the component gauging traffic of prospective buyers held unchanged at 45. Scores over 50 indicate that more builders view conditions as good than poor.

"Builder confidence continues to strengthen along with rising demand for a limited supply of new and existing homes in most local markets," said NAHB chief economist David Crowe. "However, this positive momentum is being slowed by the ongoing headwinds of tight credit and low supplies of finished lots and labor."

Monthly HMI results can be found at the website.

Solair Retail Awning Display

Available For Patio Stores

GLEN RAVEN, NORTH CAROLINA

Solair Shade Solutions introduces an exciting new display option for dealers looking to transform their in-store awning sales experience for
customers. Showcasing the retractable awnings in a new light, the Retail Awning Display (RAD) was developed as a solution to better help retailers look like they are in the awning sales business.

"While traditionally awnings have been installed on store walls, there has been a concern that the products can get lost in the décor of the store. This can make it difficult for consumers to identify the awnings as a product that is actually for sale," said Rett Haigler, business manager of Solair.

"We realized this was a concern and we needed to develop a solution to help our customers. Therefore, we designed the RAD to create a floor space display capable of holding two retractable awnings at their full extension. The great thing about having two full-size awnings is that dealers can vignette and merchandise furniture underneath so the sales floor space is not lost, but somewhat improved."

Making the floor space under the awnings usable for merchandising, customers are more likely to notice the shade products and recognize their benefits. With a 20-ft. wide by 12-ft. deep footprint, the RAD offers the capability for two Solair retractable awnings to be mounted, one on each side, at nine feet high, with the ability to fully extend and retract.

"We're excited to debut the RAD at Casual Market this year. We'll have the unit on display in the North lobby of the Merchandise Mart. We have dedicated ourselves to growing the market and are looking forward to the new opportunities the RAD will present our customers," said Haigler.

"We have responded to retail requests and are enhancing popular product lines with new features and options," said Margaret Chang, CEO. "Treasure Garden listens to its customers for not only new product ideas; but for enhancing current products and programs as well."

Treasure Garden's popular cantilever umbrella program is being enhanced with the addition of a la carte base purchase options. In the new program, the umbrella can be purchased with one of four base design options, including the standard base, or three styles of mounting kits for concrete, in-ground or wood mounting.

"The new program is especially attractive for retailers looking to offer cost savings to customers desiring a permanent mount installation only. It eliminates the cost of purchasing a standard base with the umbrella," said Jeff B. Dorough, vice president, Sales and Marketing.
