D&D:  Death's Door
Session 39 Recap & Exp
Session 39:  Death's Door
Keez, happy that the Foresight was once again safe from attack, reaches out to his new compatriots through the torque.  Aoth is insistent that he fly to their aid immediately.  It doesn't take the swift pixie long to find the entrance to the ruin.

What he discovers is a cloaked figure hiding outside, his concealment is practiced, so he is unable to discern much about the humanoid.  There is also trap set on the recently repaired iron gate at the entrance.  The group seems to expect the news, and they fill Keez in on the Drow that had chased them into the ruin.

Keez is able to fly between the bars and quickly rejoins the group in time to help them fend off more attacks from ghastly Wraiths.  The group destroys several Wraiths as they delve further and further into the ruins.  Eventually they run into the living!  Aerialyn and Bareris had also been called to the calamity in the desert and sought refuge in the ruin.  Bareris was far more equipped for Undead, and was willing to restore the group.

It doesn't take long before there is another attack.  Our much larger group of adventurers earn some admiration for each other in battle and decide to work together.  This comradery is further aided by a familiarity between Aerialyn and Aoth.  It seems they work in the same circles and have Danth in common.

Sharing knowledge of the ruins they decide to go a new direction.  This leads them to a hidden exit from what must have been a palace.  A rickety plank structure bridges the 15' foot gap above a very deep and swift subterranean river.  Once safely across the group does some fishing.  Needing something to cook the fish they decide to break apart the bridge for firewood.

By blind luck the group discovers the bridge had been used to hide several interesting things.  Most notable were messages that seem to prove a conspiracy within the palace, and a love affair between a princess and her Arcane Professor.

The food is good, as are the stories read allowed.  The group grows comfortable and decides to rest for a bit.
