D&D:  Three Pleas
May 24th - Recap
Session 5:  Three Pleas - Recap
Shopping!  Lots of it.  The group met Gertrude, who is a fiesty Gnome Wizard that runs a shop tucked away down a creepy alley in the market district.  She is an old friend of Paineth's and is giving the group a discount on account of saving Paineth!  She seems to know about Mistress Synith.

Gertrude recommended her cousin's general adventuring shop (Dirby's), where they met Dirby himself.  They entire shop seemed gnome run.  Probably a family affair.  Gertrude also recommended a Blacksmith that Isbjorn could get a good price for his MW Orag Great Axe.

Although surrounded by Smith's selling and advertising their wares, he had nothing on display.  Sam, seemed more interested in his work than profit, but when the group was specific he was happy to bring out some of his master peices.
Now, it's important to keep track.  The group has made several promises:
  • Aiesta, the beautiful Avariel, is a courier for the High Elven Court.  She needs the groups help to the north.  More specifically she needs the group to convice a particular group of Orc to sign a Treaty.  In return she has promised and Elder's ability to aid the group.  Although no one knows why, Synith stopped the Avariel herself.
  • Danth, the nimble halfling, is certain she will be hunted by Synith and her minions.  She needs protection for 3 days.  Then, she will sail off to the south.  Why she is so valuable hasn't been gleemed, or has it?
  • Paineth, the damsel, finally saved she has asked to accompany the group as long as their actions take them closer to understanding what Synith is all about.  Liam has welcomed her into the fold.
With clear direction the group has decided to keep Danth safe.  Once she has sailed they will embark to the north to meet Aiesta.  Three Pleas answered, what could possibly go wrong?  The next day answers that question.

After learning the abilities of their recently aquired magical items the group is suddenly drawn into a curiousity.  Just across from the entrance to Gertrude's shoppe is a hidden door.  Upon opening the door the group sets off a horendously loud alarm.  Neverminding the racket, Liam heads on down.

Soon the group discovers a Stone Golem, fashioned as a Dijnn.  Once the group moves into the room the doors on both sides close.  Swiftly the Golem begins to attack!
Session 6:  Who's turn is it to watch her?

The very meaning of alacrity, how does one so small move so swiftly?  And which such deft skill and grace!  Surely there is more to this one.  She eats like a horse, drinks like a sailor, and is being hunted.  The group has agreed to keep her alive for 3 days.  Just enough time for her ship to sail to the south.
