Auntie Wooly Says:
Auntie

Hello, Dahlings!

As I travel the islands I'm always thinking of you, my favorite people, and your appreciation for value.

As many of us have learned over the years, there's a difference between price and value. As we all know, price is what you pay for something, but value is what you get for the price.

While we so often feel the lowest price is always the best, the value we receive for that price may mean it's not worth the price we paid!

I stayed at a hotel in a resort area a bit ago. It was a great price. The lowest around to be sure, and I reasoned that I was just paying to sleep so should save my dollars on the room. Well, between the noise, the smell, and the poor service at the hotel, I changed to a different hotel.

For a few dollars more, what a difference! The room was much nicer, much quieter. The view was much better, and the staff so much more friendly. Even the entrance to the building made a difference in my stay, as it put me in a happy frame of mind every time I walked in. While the price was higher, the value I received was much higher than at the less expensive hotel.

I learned my lesson. Now I always look for the value instead of focusing on the price!

Until next time... Happy Stitching, My Dears!

Rowan KAL

We're so excited to bring you the Rowan Pure Wool Worsted Mystery Knit-a-long by Martin Storey!

Every week, starting the week of April 21, Rowan will provide all participants a new FREE pattern, designed by Martin Storey, to make squares of different patterns to make up an afghan. Over the weeks we'll have fun learning new stitches, seeing the new patterns, as well as playing with colors!

When finished, the Afghan will measure approximately 50" x 66".

You can participate from wherever you are which means you don't have to come in the shop to join us. We'll be knitting along as well and will be here to help you in the shop, on the phone, by email, anyway that helps you!

For complete details, and color suggestions, just click here to visit the KAL section of our web site!

Come knit along with us, it will be fun!

NewBuild May 17 Open House
On Saturday, May 17 from 4 - 7, come join us for an Open House! We'll have light refreshments, music, and a presentation from Sam Sansbury who will come all the way from Wales to tell us all about his life with Colinette Yarns!

It's been two years since we moved to our much larger location on the corner of Bridge St. and Main St. in Cambria's historic East Village. Yes, we loved the old location on Burton Dr. but we love all the natural light, the views of Main Street, and especially all that room!

Our address is 4210 Bridge Street, but we face Main st. That's because the address of the building is Bridge Street.

So come on in, either from the Main Street entrance, or the door facing the parking lot next to the building and help us celebrate two wonderful years in our "new" location!

It's gonna be fun!

Our Own Project Bags!

Project Bag

Made for us by a company here in Cambria, we think you'll love these bags. The bag measures 10.5" x 12.5" making it perfect for socks, scarves, cowls, any number of projects that you grab for knitting at the pub, or crocheting in the park.

They're made from 100% organic cotton! Nice and soft, yet sturdy. Being a natural fiber, it just feels right in your hand. Strong enough to stand up to most needles, it'll protect your yarn and your tools, and make it easier to find your project, even inside a larger bag.

Yes, it has our logo which we hope will bring you fond thoughts of our little corner of California. And we added our motto. Our raison d'tre as it were. "Express Yourself." It's a phrase that underscores everything we do in the shop. From product selection, to displays, to lighting, to samples we work up, we're always looking for new, creative ways to help us all to "Express Yourself."

Only 9.75.
