Happy New Year, Dahlings!

This year, the theme at the Ball & Skein is all about Color.

So many of us struggle with color, or fall into routines around color. This year we'd love to see more people experiment with color, maybe try new combinations, break some rules.

Having trouble with color or want some ideas? We have some fabulous books on the topic in the store and we're always available for color consultation.

So, don't be afraid, be bold, have fun, and Express Yourself - with COLOR!

Until next time... Happy Stitching, My Dears!

Auntie W.

Frog Tree Peru Peru Trip is On!

We're excited to announce that the trip to Peru is happening, and that a wonderful group of fiber fans are heading to Peru in March with Frog Tree Yarns and Cat Bordhi. Here at the shop we've been working some other events and trips you might enjoy! One we're very excited about, but can't say too much just yet!

Cambria Cobblestone Wrap Free Pattern
Cambria Cobblestone Wrap

This wrap, designed by our own Kris, is simple to make but yields such a fun result. We worked up this piece with 6 skeins of Noro Silk Garden. A little twist we gave this design was to use 6 different colorways! As we neared the end of one ball, we just grabbed another ball and started knitting. One of the beautiful things about this approach is you keep discovering new colors as each one comes off the needle. It's a meditative piece to do, perfect for trips or just relaxing knitting where you can just watch the color story unfold.

For an even softer feel, you could use Noro Taiyo, a cotton based yarn from Noro. Because the yardage is longer with Taiyo, you could use just 3 balls. You'll still have the beautiful Noro striping we all know and love.
