Warm Greetings from All of Us
It's been an amazing year for our little store, and it's all thanks to you. We've gotten more comfortable with the new space and are scheming on what to do next with it. We've celebrated birthdays and holidays. We saw people discover the joy and fun in their crochet and knitting explorations. We've met new friends, and enjoyed time with friends from all over. We love what we do and we are thankful to be able to be a small part of your creative life. Happiest of Holidays, and a Joyful New Year!

End of Year Savings! In a rare moment, we have a few items we'd love to offer at a reduced price. Lovely yarns, but we have so much more coming we need the room. The price you see on-line reflects a 20% discount on these beautiful yarns. While supplies last, as they say on TV.
Shop these yarns at 20% off!
Noro Kama - A heavy worsted, Silk and Wool blend. Noro Mossa - A 'fuzzy' boucle, if that makes any sense. We love it. Noro Karuta - Silk, Cotton, Wool. Incredible colors. Great for scarves and cowls, it's a bulky yarn, knit on a US 10 (K hook) Noro Furisode - Cotton and Silk on a US 9 or 10. We made an iPad case out of 1 skein.
Ella Rae Lace - Really a fingering weight superwash merino, you can machine wash it. Over 400 yards on a skein. You'll love it.
Sirdar Faroe - A BIG bulky yarn, perfect for quick hats or kids stuff as it's machine washable acrylic, cotton and wool. Knit it on a US 13. (M or N hook)
Thank you, and enjoy the savings on these fabulous yarns!

Last Yarn Bar - for now December 26 will be the last Thursday Night Yarn Bar of the season, so stop by from 4 - 7 and say hello. After that, Kris and Oz have to do a lot of preparing for their trip to San Diego for the TNNA industry trade show. We go to meet our vendors, look for new interesting products, take classes, and learn more about the fiber community. At this show, Oz is teaching two business related classes. He says it's his small way of giving back to a community that has already given us so much. And yes, the shop will be open as always while those two are away thanks to our fabulous staff!

Bravo Worsted
Sometimes you are doing some charity knitting, or need a basic yarn for a very basic project. You want to shop from an independent yarn store but even their least expensive natural fiber yarns are more expensive than you want to spend for this type of project. We understand the dilemma but until now have not been able to find a product that offered the value and quality we expect. We've now found a more affordable yarn we think you'll enjoy. Bravo Worsted by Schachenmayr is a 100% acrylic yarn that feels very good! You get 437 yards on a 400 gram ball for only $7.99.This yarn is NOT suitable for the Knitting for the Troops items, but for most other charity projects, it's perfect! See the in-stock colors on-line, or stop by the store! |
Peru Trip Deadline is January 5!

A Personal Thank You
This is our 5th holiday season in Cambria. It's been such a change in our lives. To leave our long time home in the Boston area to move across the country to the small town of Cambria, California and try and revitalize a small, well loved little yarn shop. In that time, so many have opened their arms to us and accepted us into their lives. While we miss the picturesque scenes of New England in the winter and the proximity of friends and family that have been such a large part of our lives, we are so happy to be here and share this symbolic turning of the page in our new home. A personal thank you, from Kris and Oz.
