Auntie Wooly Says:
Auntie
Dahlings!

Your Auntie has been rediscovering her love of Crochet. Especially as the weather turns a little warmer it's fun to grab a crochet hook, some lovely yarn, and work up a project that's fast and beautiful.

Click here to download a free pattern of a cowl I made out of one skein of Noro Taiyo Sock. I used Taiyo Sock as it's a cotton based yarn as well as machine washable. That makes it perfect for every day wear or a cool evening at Fenway Park in Boston watching the Red Sox win!

Click here to see all the Taiyo Sock colors available and order up a skein today!

Until next time... Happy Stitching, My Dears!

It's Been a Year?
We are amazed and delighted to announce on May 17 we will have been in our new location a full year!

As you may know, after 34 years in our old location on Burton Dr we up and moved around the corner to our expanded space at the corner of Bridge and Main. The building address is 4210 Bridge, which has caused more than a few people some confusion, we regret to say. If you're still looking for us, our entrance is right on Main Street.

To celebrate this occasion we're opening the yarn vault! Over the years, the Ball & Skein has collected an impressive collection of yarn and starting on Friday May 17 we'll be offering some fiber history to you. We're packaging unique, 'vintage' yarn into bags of 5 and 10 skeins and will be offering them at very attractive pricing! You'll be able to see them, but no, you won't be able to 'mix and match' or open bags. Believe us, you'll find things you want at some pretty attractive prices. The One-year celebration starts on Friday, May 17 and runs through Saturday, June 1. This is an event you'll not want to miss!

Keep an eye on our web site for all the latest information including how to order on-line during this two week celebration of our fiber community.

Boston Strong Two Charity Funds
Two organizations we'd like to mention this month, if we may.

The first is in memory of an old, dear friend of ours we recently lost. Joanne was a wonderful, warm, caring, and generous person. We're happy to have known her and will always have a hole in our lives without her.
Click here for information about the Joanne Wood Scholarship Fund

The other relates to the events this past month in our dear city of Boston. Seeing those images, the stories, the unimaginable series of events in our old neighborhood hit a little close to home. It's hard to think about these things, but the resolve of the good people of New England is strong. You might even say, Boston Strong.
This link is where you can donate to assist those affected by the events on Patriots Day.
