Connecting Activities Success Story: Rafal Thaher

Rafal Thaher is a wonderful example of a student using all the resources offered to her including in 2010 when she participated in the YouthWorks Young Adults Summer Jobs Program. Through the YouthWorks program, Rafal met Cathy Sturtevant, GLWIB Connecting Activities Career Specialist. As a sophomore at Lowell High School, Rafal was still learning the English language and Cathy recommended she start attending MCAS classes at Middlesex Community College. The classes eventually helped her pass the MCAS tests
