Matt. 18:3 NIV "Truly I tell you, unless you
change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
Growing, Changing and Pressing On!
Greetings Charlie's Lunch Partners and Friends!

As the fall season brings change in the air and with the anticipation of the holiday season approaching, we are over-flowing with thanksgiving, joy and anticipation.

We are thankful for Charlie's Lunch, for you, our partners and friends, for growth, for transformed lives and all of the children God has entrusted to us to feed and disciple every day. We are filled with joy for the work in missions God has given us and the privilege it is to serve Him. We are filled with anticipation for what lies ahead and trusting in His grace and faithfulness.

Last year God gave us a goal of 10/50/5000.  You might remember these numbers: 10 nations/ 50 feeding centers/ 5000 children.  We have a strong conviction that God wants us to keep growing this ministry and feed more hungry children around the world physically and spiritually.  By His grace we are well on our way to reaching that goal. Currently, we are in 8 nations/ 41 feeding centers/ 3000 children.

Our goal is in sight!

If you are not yet a partner, just $15 will feed a hungry child all month, or $400 will feed 50 children all month.

Together we are feeding the multitudes and sharing the gospel message of hope, just like Jesus did.

Thank you for sharing lunch...

          Goyo's Name Changed to Christopher
(he who holds Christ in his heart).

Goyo is a 12 year old boy from Mexico whose dad is in prison for murder.  He used to be very disobedient, rebellious and angry but since becoming part of Charlie's Lunch and accepting Christ into his heart, his life has been totally transformed according to Jacinto Bahena (Charlie's Lunch director).
Recently a scheduled camp was planned and he asked why his friend Miguel couldn't go.  Pastor Jacinto replied that Miguel was too rebellious and disobedient.  Christopher protested to Pastor Jacinto, "That is exactly why he needs to go to camp.  He needs to change just like I have changed. I'm different because I have Jesus in my heart.  I understand that I am a child of God.  My dad may be in prison, but God is my Father." Christopher's friend Miguel went to camp and his life was deeply impacted.  No doubt, Christopher holds Christ in his heart!
Pictured here Goyo is showed with other young people at his bread-baking class at Charlie's Lunch.
India: A Mother is Healed- Her Daughter's Life is Changed
Pastor Shravan writes:
The girl in this picture is Satyavati.  She is in our Charlie's Lunch feeding program at Miracle Church.  With Charlie's Lunch, we give the children not only physical food but spiritual food as well.  At Charlie's Lunch, she learned that Jesus is healer and He heals people when we pray for them.
Recently, her mother got sick.  She did what she learned and prayed for her mother. Her mother was healed and she was so happy that she shared this testimony with us. Now, her mother is coming to the church.  Satyavati accepted Jesus as her savior and took baptism.
Seeing a "Heart-change" in Two Young Girls

Briseida & Catherine are sisters.  Their grandmother brought 5 year old Briseida and her sister to Charlie's Lunch this year.  They would eat lunch but never speak. The leaders at Charlie's Lunch tried to get at least a smile from the girls but not these two.  The Pastor took note of this and realized it was probably because of the abuse they were experiencing in their home.  There was marital conflict and physical abuse.  Finally, their mother left her daughters with their grandmother and went looking for work.  Grandma brought them to Charlie's Lunch.  The change of dwellings, leaving the constant fighting and abuse, coupled with the love and care they felt at the Charlie's Lunch feeding program finally began to affect the girls in a positive way.  Their countenances of sadness and depression changed to that of joy and happiness.  Charlie's Lunch is not only about feeding lunch but healing the emotional wounds of these helpless children.
