2013 Color Trends Part 1
The Color Marketing Group (CMG), is an, international non profit association whose members are from various industries, from marketers to design professionals and manufacturers. CMG gathers once a year to meet and exchange non-competitive information relating to Color Trends and also to forecast Color Directions.
Drum roll.......the 2013 color of choice is.......
RE-BLUED
"RE" plays on several key lifestyle trends: REcycling, REnew, REmember, REwind, REcalibrate, REward and is REliable.
RE-BLUED works well with all colors of the palette; from warm too cool tones. Blue is naturally an "embraceable" color.
As we move away from denim and indigo influences, this mid range blue takes over as the new color of choice. Its reliable nature comes from its ability to bridge generations, products and finishes.
Today's Blues are the warmer more aqueous blues. Blues are regarded as having a relaxing and calming effect.
