Changes at the Ford Foundation Include Doubling of Administrative Costs Cap 

Darren Walker, President of the Ford Foundation, outlined the changes in the foundation's strategy and practice after their two year "transition" period. One of the changes is doubling the overhead rate for project grants from 10% to 20%, or what Walker describes as "addressing the overhead fiction".

9th Annual Nonprofit Technology Staffing & Investments Report

NTEN's 9th Annual Nonprofit Technology Staffing & Investments Report compiles data from more than 700 nonprofits on technology staffing, budget, ROI, and more. Key findings include:
  • On average, nonprofits have 4.6 technology-responsible staff.
  • On average, each technology responsible staff supports about 28 organizational staff members.
  • 66% of nonprofits include technology in their strategic plans.
  • The average budget for technology per organizational staff is $2,952.09.
