Assistive Technology Fair

This year's Assistive Technology Fair was held on May 27th and was a huge success.  Many individuals we support their and families took advantage of this exciting opportunity to talk with representatives from some of the big names in Assistive Technology.  Everyone enjoyed the demonstrations and having the opportunity to try out different devices and programs.

MDSibs 2015 - Connecting Siblings Of People With Developmental Disabilities

The Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council presents  MDSibs 2015 in partnership with The Arc Maryland and By Their Side. MDSibs is bringing people together to discuss the "other" sibling. We will learn about the unique bond between a person with developmental disabilities and their siblings. It is a relationship full of ups and downs - laughter and tears, pride and guilt, enlightenment and frustration - that spans generations and affects the individual, the family, organizations and state priorities and policies.

Join MDSibs for a one-day conference to meet, connect and learn about siblings of all ages across the State of Maryland.

Date:             Saturday, October 17, 2015

Location:     Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport

                        1739 West Nursery Road

                        Linthicum Heights, MD 21090

Sibshops Are Here!

The Arc Baltimore and Battle Monument School are collaborating to provide free workshops, called Sibshops, for brothers and sisters, ages 6-13, of children with special needs. Sibshops provides a fun, energetic, and activity driven experience during each model. The 21st Annual Golf Tournament Hits A Hole In One, Literally

Over 150 golfers enjoyed sunny skies and warm weather while golfing at the Woodlands Golf Course at The Arc Baltimore's 21st Annual Golf Tournament. Thanks to all the golfers and the many generous corporate sponsors who helped us raise over $80,000.

Congrats to the winning foursome from Advance-The Document Specialists and the biggest excitement of the day, was when longtime golfer, Stuart Epstein, hit a hole in one to win a car. A special thanks to Bob Davidson Ford Lincoln who donated the "hole in one prize!" Click here to see pictures from the golf tournament.
