Families of individuals with I/DD are sometimes protective and/or uncomfortable when thinking about their loved ones as interested in romantic relationships and sex. During this presentation we will explore our own values about sexuality and disability and teach strategies to initiate conversations about relationships, boundaries, sexuality, sexual health and personal safety. This will help you in supporting your family member to explore all aspects of the human experience.

Congratulations Aaron Atkinson, QE Director!

Congrats to our Director of Quality Enhancement, Aaron Atkinson, for becoming an official CARF International Surveyor. As a result, Aaron has acquired an enhanced understanding of CARF standards through extensive training. In addition, because he will be required to visit three agencies each year and will see the innovative programs and services provided by other agencies across the US and continue to improve what we do through the application of those successful procedures at The Arc Baltimore. Aaron is our second CARF surveyor joining longtime surveyor, Sly Bieler.
