Greetings & Salutations:

Regardless of the traditions you may follow at the end of each year, it's the perfect time to celebrate our gifts. We have been privileged to celebrate many gifts this year and it's because of you and our amazing community.  Please celebrate with us, and if you can, please make a year-end gift to the program of your choice.

Here is a small sampling of gifts we celebrated this year:

Self-Advocacy

Crystal Stephens is the receptionist at our Seton Business Park location. Crystal is a member of The Arc Baltimore Board of Directors, is vice-president of the Helping Hands self-advocacy group, and she visited Annapolis this year to meet her legislators - sharing her gifts along the way.

Self-Determination

Maggie Breschi and her family have been part of The Arc for years and this year she started in our day programs. With help from occupational therapy interns, staff, and family, she made pillow-cases that one of her doctors took as gifts on a missionary trip to Haiti - a real circle of giving.

Daytime Fun and Learning

A professional clown volunteers at The Arc Baltimore in Dundalk and formed a clown troupe as a way for the individuals there to have fun and build skills. When the circus came to town, our clown troupe performed for the Ringling Bros. clowns. This summer, the troupe put on a dozen performances for children at summer camps. More gifts!

Meaningful Employment

Lastly, we launched Career Catalyst for adults with developmental disabilities who have been under-employed or unemployed to gain new skills and some have already landed in full-time jobs. Business volunteers are opening new doors for internships and jobs. Gifts are abounding.

Thank you for being a part of all this - through your contributions to The Arc Baltimore. Please end your year with a gift to one of our programs. Donate now. It does make a difference. You make a difference.

Sincerely,
