Donte lives in a house with two roommates where The Arc staff provide support. We employed Donte in janitorial contract work for 13 years. He likes working, but he wanted a different kind of job. Now he's at Career Catalyst, our new employment program.

Career Catalyst is for both young adults new to work and others who want to learn new skills and broaden their prospects. That's what happened for Donte. He got an internship at Miller's Minuteman Press in Hunt Valley. Now he is tackling many different types of jobs; he files and scans documents, does binding, handles mailings, and his supervisors know that he's always willing to do whatever is asked.

The experience has really had an impact on Donte and he says, "I like learning new things every day and I like the people I get to be with."
