Summer Picnic a Success! 
 
On July 8th, Outreach and Family Services hosted over a hundred parents and children at their annual networking picnic at their main office.  Families connected while enjoying food, fun and games.  It was a great evening! Check out the pictures by clicking below.

It's Parents' Day Out. Take some time to restore yourself and leave your children -with and without disabilities - in the trained and qualified hands of volunteers for a morning of fun from 9 am - 1 pm on three different dates, at the following locations:

Golf Tourney Co-Chair reflects on his 20 years supporting The Arc    

 

After the dust settled from The Arc Baltimore's 20th Annual Golf Tournament, tournament committee co-chair Mike Eikenberg from Expressway Office Solutions reflected on his involvement with The Arc Baltimore and its golf tournament for the past 20 years where he raised over $1.3 M.

The Arc Baltimore receives CARF Accreditation!     

 

The Arc Baltimore received its fourth, three year CARF accreditation in June. This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our Board, staff and families for the organization and the individuals that we support. Big round of applause!  CARF is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of human service providers with a main focus on quality assurance.

Captains Caring & Sharing provide boating and swimming opportunities for children with disabilities and serious illnesses. If you are interested in an adventurous outing full of family fun, check out their website.

Youth Artwork Needed
 
Youth artists with developmental disabilities can now submit artwork for consideration in our 13th annual Art in the Round exhibit and silent auction. 
The deadline for art submission for children and youth is September 29th and all submissions must include an artist packet.

National Convention 2014
 
Over 600 people from The Arc's nearly 700 chapters are expected to attend their national convention in New Orleans from September 30 - October 2 to network with those who share a passion for disability issues, learn from the best in the field and add a voice to those who are shaping the future of The Arc.
