The Arc Hits a Homer at Oriole Park with the PLAY Program

On June 10th, 100 kids including 25 receiving services from The Arc Baltimore and The Arc Central Chesapeake Region along with their families participated in the inclusive PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) program held at Camden Yards run by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society. The kids participated in running and batting drills on the field, listened to talks about the dangers of steroid use and the importance of making healthy decisions, and heard Orioles outfielder David Lough discuss how nutrition helped him to succeed in baseball.
