Developmental Disabilities Day
This year's Developmental Disabilities Day at the Legislature will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, from 8:30 a. m. to 1:00 p.m. Every day, thousands of Marylanders with intellectual and developmental disabilities are impacted by public policy. Help us raise awareness and give a voice to the many people who are affected by our legislators' decisions.
The day starts with a briefing of the primary issues, budget overview, and relevant bills. Then attendees may then meet with their elected officials and/or join the rally on the Lawyers' Mall amongst the legislative buildings as a visible statement of our community's support for DD issues.
If you are interested in joining us, please click here to register. Transportation will be provided from our Dundalk and Towson locations. Space is limited. Register today.

Calendar Distribution Day
Advocates from The Arc Baltimore spent last Thursday in Annapolis delivering The Arc Maryland's legislative calendar. They met with State legislators and their aides while distributing the calendar.
The calendars include legislator's birthdays, and each month features a success story from each chapter in Maryland. Our success story features Crystal Stephens, one of our board members and vice president of The Helping Hands self-advocacy group, who is the receptionist at our Seton facility.
