HydroSports is looking for a friend who can build a muffler for our air compressor's moisture separator system. We have a working model and need a second muffler built.  This is a project we'd like to complete before the end of October.

Looking outside in Oregon we're seeing the seasons change; the days are getting shorter, leaves are turning color and "decorating" our lawns and the late summer algae bloom is going away.
Fall and winter diving typically offers us the best visibility of the year in the Pacific Northwest, ranging from 30 to 50 feet. The algae die, the lion's main jellyfish die as well and we're left with much clearer water. Take advantage of the improving conditions by diving with us.
Can you say REBREATHER? Tiny tanks, no bubbles, silent, looooonger dives, better buoyancy control, WARM moist air to breath, amazing marine life interaction. HydroSports has purchased two Poseidon MK-VI rebreathers which are now available in our rental fleet. Kristen and I completed training in September. Click HERE for an invitation to our Poseidon Rebreather Test Dive opportunity October 23. Once you complete training you can rent a Poseidon MK-VI rebreather from HydroSports.
As you might know HydroSports rotates out our rental BCDs and regulators every three years. Right now is that time. If you're interested in a great deal on a well-cared-for kit, come by the shop ASAP.

Dive Catalina Island
Join me March 23 to 26, 2015 for three days of Southern California boat dives with Catalina Scuba Luv. Avalon is a great destination for divers and non-divers alike, fun shopping, historical island tours, a beautifully restored 1919 movie theater that plays first run movies.
Our trips include round trip ferry transportation from Long Beach, four nights hotel accommodations, two days of three tank boat dives, tank and weight rentals for a day of shore diving at the Casino Point Dive Park.

Dive Neah Bay August 2015
While the details are being firmed up at this time
 HydroSports has reserved LuJac's Quest in early August 2015 for three to four days of boat dives near Neah Bay, Washington.
Neah Bay is near the mouth of the Straight of San Juan de Fuca and offers some of the very best cold water diving in the world.
Nutrient rich Pacific Ocean water flows daily past the rocky shoreline feeding abundant varieties of marine life.
Six of us just returned from three days of diving with Captain Phil Jensen and had a super time diving the San Juan Islands. We're stoked to rejoin Captain Phil next year.

HydroSports Rental Gear Sale
HydroSports rental gear only goes on sale every few years. We now have 20 new sets of Atomic regulators, Zeagle BCDs and Oceanic computers in use. We need to sell much of our existing rental gear to make room for the new gear.
Shawn has recently inspected and performed annual service on all our Zeagle Envoy regulators and our Zeagle Stiletto BCDs. These items are 3 to 6 years old and have been used in our rental fleet. We believe each item is in sound working condition and is ready for use.
We have Zeagle Stiletto BCDs in sizes small to XL. The regulators are all Zeagle Envoys with primary and alternate second stages and three gauge consoles. We have a limited number of Sherwood Profile computer consoles available.
