DUI Demo Days
June 13 to 15
Tickets for the annual DUI Demo Days event at the Oregon Coast Aquarium are now on sale at HydroSports.
Each year DUI drives a huge truck to the aquarium in Newport filled with hundreds of dry suits, under garments, souvenir hats, rock boots, gloves and hoods. DUI dealers from the region bring dozens of BCDs and regulators to the event as well as staff to support the event.
You, a certified diver, may test dive a DUI dry suit in one of the three huge exhibit tanks, gain admission to the aquarium for a day, enjoy a barbecue lunch and mingle with DUI staff and owners. Non-divers may participate by snorkeling in the exhibit tanks on Friday.
Tickets are limited. We have sold out each year.
Dry suit dive or snorkel experience tickets are $50 (cash price). Buy an extra lunch ticket for $5. Buy a ticket to a hosted dinner with DUI, aquarium and dealer staff for $20.

If you've been watching lawns and gardens recently you've noticed green buds and bright flowers popping up everywhere. Cherry trees have been blooming all over the Salem-Keizer area living up to our community name, Cherry City.
Just as nature is growing HydroSports is growing as well. Our education team will have three new Assistant Instructors in the next few weeks, Kelly Schiedler, Noel Mak and Dick Holihan, Jr. Greg Sykora is now a Divemaster. Jonathan Chancery and Matt Lavier are moving quickly through the DM program. Many of the team completed a Self-Reliant Diver Specialty Class in the past week. Dan Chatfield reunited with HydroSports bringing his enthusiastic DM skills to the forefront. Shawn Fisher has rejoined our team and is once again servicing regulators, BCDs and tanks for HydroSports. We're looking at new product lines and services to offer our community.
Our summer goals include lots of local diving. We are finalizing dates for shore dives and boat dives at Newport, boat dives at Detroit and Foster Reservoirs, drift dives at the Big Cliff Reservoir, our annual Camp N Dive at Clear Lake, dives at the Fish Ladder at Florence, a Pumpkin Carving dive in October, dives a Woahink Lake and a Dive Caching/treasure hunt late in the year. Watch for news of these local events.
This spring and summer we expect to offer Assistant Instructor, Open Water Scuba Instructor and Instructor Development Course programs and a wide range of specialty classes to further support divers throughout the region.
