With Celebration

Students and parents enjoyed the annual Link Crew Breakfast on Friday, May 15, which provided an opportunity to thank Link Crew leaders and reflect on the year. Celebrating the 10th year of the Link Crew Program at Mound Westonka High School gave advisors numerous opportunities for reflection.
"We always get to witness great connections formed between our leaders and their eighth- and ninth-grade students, but we just felt that this year, specifically, we really saw some awesome connections," said advisor Meagan Anderson.

Majority of MN Schools Left Out of U.S. News Rankings--
MWHS Awarded 'Best High Schools' Bronze Medal
|
This year, most of Minnesota's more than 500 high schools are missing from the national U.S. News & World Report "Best High Schools" ranking due to a problem in the release of the state's Advanced Placement (AP) test scores.
As a result of the glitch, only 20 Minnesota public high schools that offer an International Baccalaureate (IB) program are included in the 2015 national ranking. In last year's ranking, Mound Westonka High School was rated the 24th "best high school" in the state and was one of only 34 schools to receive a silver medal. This year's list gives MWHS no ranking, and it is categorized as a bronze medal school.
