Westonka Receives Good News from Auditors--
District Works to Preserve Strong Financial Standing
|
Auditors at the Oct. 6 Westonka School Board meeting gave the district an unqualified or "clean" opinion--the best opinion a district can receive. The auditors reported that our district's revenue and expenses came in slightly better than projected last year. Westonka has an unassigned fund balance of $3,146,762, or 12% of general fund expenditures. This is the result of our community's generous support of our local levies and the hard work and decisions made by our staff and school board.
Please read the Borg Report for more information on the district's financial position.
