Westonka Fourth-Graders Put Art in Motion--
With Stop Motion Film Projects

Stop motion animation is a long-time feature of popular children's movies. The technique, which involves moving objects and figurines increment by increment so that they appear to be in motion, can be seen in everything from the 1964 holiday classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to 2014's The Lego Movie

At Shirley Hills Primary School, students not only enjoy watching stop motion videos, but they are also creating them, thanks to new innovations in the Shirley Hills art room.
