Dear Westonka Staff, Parents, Students & Community Members,

The results of the Nov. 5 Westonka School District School Board election are in.

Incumbent Gary W. Wollner and candidates Gina Smith and Loren D. Davis received the most votes for the three, four-year terms on the school board, according to unofficial results from the Minnesota Secretary of State. The new board members will be sworn in at the Jan. 6, 2014 board meeting.

I would like to extend my congratulations to the individuals elected to our school board. I look forward to working closely with them in support of our district goals.

I would also like to thank Keith Foerster and Margie Saatzer for their service on the school board and for the dedication they have shown to our students, teachers, parents and community. Their final meeting as board members will take place on Dec. 9, where we will recognize their leadership on the board.

Finally, thank you to the Westonka voters for your continued support of our district and students.
