Summer Facilities Planning--
And An Update from the Board
Staff Kevin Borg Superintendent

We have (finally) begun to see signs of springtime, which means the end of the school year is fast approaching. I have multiple items to share about the exciting things happening in our buildings and school grounds this summer.

As promised last week, the Westonka School Board also has an update on the investigation into the events surrounding the February high school lunchroom incident.

Please read the Borg Report for a spring facilities update and a statement from Board Chair Dave Botts.

Sincerely,

Kevin Borg

Top Test Scores Tradition--
MCA Testing Begins April 8

Over the next several weeks, Westonka Public Schools will take part in annual spring testing. The state-mandated Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) tests are scheduled to start next week and will run through the beginning of May.

"The MCA assessments serve as our accountability to our community that Westonka students are college and career ready by the time they graduate from high school," Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning Mark Femrite said. "For 10 years straight, they have provided us an opportunity to share some of the best MCA test scores earned across the state."
