The White Hawks' thrilling 3-2 victory over Mankato East last Thursday thrusts the girls hockey team into its first-ever state tournament! The White Hawks will take on Blake at 1 p.m. at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul this Wednesday, Feb. 20. 

Girls Hockey State Tournament Information   

• Advance-sale tickets are available in the Mound Westonka High School Activities Office all day today (Tuesday, Feb. 19) and until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Tickets are $17 for adults; $11 for students. 
• Fan busses are available for high school students wishing to attend the game. Students must pay $5 to ride the fan bus and must produce a note from home excusing them for the game. Students will be excused at 11:13 a.m., following 4th period classes, and will miss school lunch periods. They will be responsible for their own food at the event. Students traveling on the fan bus must return on the bus that transported them ... no exceptions! The busses are expected to return at approximately 4 p.m., and arrangements for rides home should be made in advance. Students who plan to drive on their own to the game must provide a note excusing them from school and indicating that they have permission to drive to the game.
• The MWHS Pep Band will perform at the game and will be transported by bus to the Xcel Energy Center. Pep Band members do not have a transportation cost, and all Pep Band members are admitted free to the game.  
• If the White Hawks defeat Blake, they will play at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at the Xcel Energy Center. If they lose on Wednesday, the White Hawks will play in the consolation bracket at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at Ridder Arena on the University of Minnesota campus. The tournament runs Feb. 20-23.
