Please note that we are changing our monthly newsletter to be published quarterly going forward. Rest assured, we will be keeping you posted on upcoming events and resort specials.

In the months to come, you will see new Fall/Winter Packages become available, and hear about events such as Wingfest, Celebration of Women, Our Fall Golf Classic, and our very own Wine and Pizza Tasting. To stay informed of these exciting events and more, visit "Hotel Happenings" on our homepage.

We appreciate all of your comments on the surveys that were sent out.
As always we look forward to serving you in the future!

BThe Spa at Traditions
Centrally Located... yet wonderfully removed...

Enhance your appearance and revitalize your skin with our selection of custom facials, catered to suit your skin type. Have you tried one of our medical facials, such as the diamond tome micro exfoliation?  Micro exfoliation is a skin treatment that helps repair skin damaged from the sun, as well as scars, acne and the unwanted effects of aging.  A trained professional uses gentle abrasion and a vacuum to remove the dead, dull outer surface layer of the skin.  This treatment stimulates an increase in collagen production, leaving your skin feeling refreshed.  For a complete listing of our services and prices, please check out our website at www.traditionsspa.com

To complete your experience, we have a wide range of skin and hair care products for you to continue a home care regiment.  Our product line includes Image, Comfort Zone, Aveda, KMS, Goldwell, Surface and Moroccan Oil. Our Aveda liter shampoos and conditioners are on sale until the end of December.  Purchase a full size 33.8 oz liter and get a second one for 50% off!!

Get an early start on your Christmas list with our newest selection on bath scented pouches and our boutique items, or purchase a gift card for that special someone in your life.

We would like to welcome our newest additions to The Spa: Megan, Jessica, and Diana. They are trained licensed massage therapists.  Experience the ultimate in relaxation and take advantage of a special offer we have starting now until the end of November. Book a massage with Megan, Jessica or Diana and receive a 15% discount, Monday-Thursday

We would like to congratulate Nicole Cooper for Employee of the month!  Nicole goes above and beyond to ensure that her clients are happy and satisfied.

CThe Salt Sanctuary
Escape into the Depths of Nature's Healing...

Salt Logo Dark

It's back to school for the kiddos. This season, keep them healthy with our Salt Sanctuary Back to School Special. Only $15 for adult and child to enjoy a Halotherapy session together in our Children's Room thru October 31st!

Choose a natural alternative to inhalers and medications for your children suffering from chronic respiratory and skin conditions.

Our make-it-yourself bath soak station is a popular new feature at the spa. If you've discovered these delightful smelling herbs like chamomile, eucalyptus and lavender, you may have also noticed two jars of white and pink crystals that you can mix into your bath. These are Dead Sea and Himalayan salts. While herbs help stimulate your senses and relieve stress, mineral rich salts have unique benefits of their own, including water retention, fluid balance, improved circulation, and skin metabolism. Studies on salt baths show clearance of skin conditions like psoriasis as well as pain relief for those suffering from osteoarthritis. Next time you mix up a bag of bath bliss, consider adding mineral salts!

Our team enjoyed an end of summer annual Employee Golf Tournament, picnic, and Binghamton Mets game. As always, our Owner, Bill Walsh, and General Manager, Candace Jones were on the grill!

We have so much in store for you this season!
Kick off your fall with us at Equinox Broadcasting's Annual Wingfest on Saturday, September 26th in our Glen View Tent.

Join us on November 19th for our 5th Annual Wine & Pizza Tasting to benefit the Constance Foundation. H4H's first game was played in 2010 and was established in honor of Constance "Connie" Glauser who passed away of breast cancer in May of 2006. The Constance Foundation's mission is to raise money to alleviate the financial burden associated with cancer.

November is also well known for "No Shave November" to bring awareness to Prostate Cancer.  Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to watch and be part of Traditions' annual "No Shave" activities.

There was inspiring camaraderie and support for each other during the rounds of golf leading up to the finals. The final round was played and proved to be exciting golf with great competitors and friendships.
The Men's Club Championship final match went to the 17th hole with Ron and John going back and forth throughout the round. Observing the competition on the course, it was clear the camaraderie between the competitors. On the course and afterwards at the awards ceremony, their fellow Hacker league members came out to support.

Jim and Bill in the First Flight Division worked their way up through rounds of tough competitors to reach their final match. Jim played the most rounds in all championship flights succeeding in ---- rounds to secure his victory. Jim and Bill enjoyed each other's company on and off the course. Afterwards at Bogey's they enjoyed their success over drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

The Women's Club Championship final match of stroke play was the closest final match. It went down to the last hole with Paula finishing 1 stroke lower to win the match. After the round both ladies came to bogey's to reflect and celebrate. They both commented on how much they enjoyed playing with each other and that they look forward to next year!
Our 1st Annual Traditions Fall Classic is soon approaching on October 10th. Members and league members are invited to bring guests to this new event. 1pm Shotgun start with hors d'oeuvres and a served filet mignon dinner. There will also be special gifts to all participants announced as well as prizes for the winner teams. More information and the sign up sheet is in the pro shop.

Congratulations to our recent employees of the month!

William Breslin is a member of our Golf Operations Team. He continues to go the extra mile to care for our guests. "Billy" is always a team player and willing to fill in anywhere as needed, even outside his realm of responsibilities.

Jared Titus is a new member to our Banquet team this year. He has assisted team members and guests with any task thrown his way. Jared always comes to work with a smile on his face, prepared for the day. If you attended Clammin' & Jammin' or one of our Country Jammin' Nights this summer, you would have seen him all over the place working hard!

Paul Rupert joined our Guest Services staff one year ago and has always had a smile for everyone who walks through the door. He has recently shown interest in taking on new roles and has filled in for our Night Audit position as needed and done extra side projects. Paul is a joy to have on our team!
Hackers Golf League
Congratulations to the Hackers Golf League on finishing their 50th consecutive year here at Traditions.

The league started in 1966 by a group of IBM Personnel and Purchasing staff on the Old IBM Country Club Course.  The Hacker's completed their 16-week season on August 23rd. Five of the current twenty members have been together as "Gentlemen" Hackers, spanning the past five decades. The most senior member, Rich Hinkley started with the league in 1969 and 4 other members (Bill Chambers, Jim Halligan, Bob Korosec and Pat Dornbos) started with the league during the 1970's.

The current league secretary, Tony Shuba ( 2 years with the team) says that he has had so much fun running the weekly meetings that follow the highly competitive golf, that he will probably continue as secretary.  Tony has designed the original Hackers.com website.

It seems the only problem that the group has is an occasional debate over starting times and some motivational counseling on slow play.

Most of these men continue through the year in a Hackers Bowling League that has been its own tradition for 35 years.

Rich Hinkley says that the league is very appreciative of the entire Traditions staff and course conditions.

We at Traditions are very grateful for such a loyal and competitive group.  We can say they are truly a great bunch of individuals.

LA Special Good Bye
We are sad to say that Vicky Cortez, our Guest Service Manager and Sara Wahila, of Catering Sales have left our team.  We do wish them the best in their new endeavors.

I would like to thank them both for their contributions during their time here at Traditions. We will miss them.

On a happy note, we are pleased to announce that Nikki Nesbit has moved into Vicky's position as Guest Service Manager and Jami Wood has taken over for Sara. They both have been with Traditions. Their hard work and dedication has allowed them to move into these positions. Congratulations to you both!
