Lawn weeds are growing like crazy (be sure to NOT let dandelions go to seed!) . That's your cue to deal with them - organically or chemically, we can help with a remedy.

Need to mulch landscape beds? Remember, only 2-3 inches of mulch is needed; never mulch around or over the crowns of plants. NEVER volcano mulch!

Cage or stake young tomato plants. Best to do it at the time of planting, or shortly after.

Water, water, water! We are in desperate need of rain. Until Mother Nature comes through (perhaps by weekend), you need to water - responsibly. Use a soaker hose in landscape and garden beds to deliver water to the roots. Lawns should be watered early in the day. Make sure your irrigation system is watering the lawn, not the road , sidewalk or driveway.

Time to plant dahlias in the garden. Stake larger varieties at the time of planting.

Love peppers? So do we! And it's time to plant them. Check out 'Pepper Pointers'!

What's going on in the May garden?
