Here's a long, fancy name to throw at you - Peperomia obtusifolia variegata. Most people just say variegated Peperomia or variegated baby rubber plant (another problem with common names - this plant is NOT related to rubber plants - Ficus!) Grown as an indoor plant, POV is hardy in zones 10-11 (think Miami).
Easy to grow, easy to enjoy! This Peperomia is prized for the beautiful creamy yellow markings on its succulent-like leaves. Bright, indirect or filtered light is best. (If in low light, the variegation in the leaves may fade.) Water thoroughly, and then allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. It can be cold sensitive; avoid drafty doors and windows in winter. Give it a summer vacation outdoors, just avoid full sun locations. And when it's time to repot, use a well-draining potting soil. Fertilize sparingly during the growing season.

The Interfaith Nutrition Network, 'The INN', is the largest human service agency of its kind on Long Island, providing daily assistance to the many needy people living in our communities. Their shelters and soup kitchens are always in need of donations. We ask for your help throughout the winter by donating non-perishable food items. A collection bin is located outside the main doors at Martin Viette's. Your donations will be brought to the INN for distribution. We thank you for any assistance that you can provide.
