Fruit trees -apples, peaches, pears, nectarines - should be pruned now before bud swell. Make sure your pruning shears are sharp and clean. We can sharpen, clean and replace blades (if needed) for Felco pruners at Martin Viette. BTW - fruit trees are beginning to arrive at the store!

It's still too wet (and a bit early) to turn over garden soil. As tempted as you might be, it's better to wait until the soil dries.

Begin fertilizing houseplants; read and follow all package directions for application rate and frequency.

Do you apply lime to your lawn and landscape each and every spring? Surprisingly, this may be one chore that you can skip this year! Don't guess that your soils need lime; have a pH test done to determine the acidity or alkalinity of it. Learn more.
