Our Milwaukee

Greetings!

Did you dine on corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day? If so, did you know that this meal is only half-authentic? You see, the traditional dish was Irish bacon and cabbage. Irish immigrants to America, unable to afford bacon, substituted corned beef. A new tradition was born.

These thrifty, hard-working immigrants made the most of what was available to them. Similarly, you can create more comfortable, usable space in your home without tearing it apart. Contact us today to learn how we can make your home more livable inside its existing walls.

A better kitchen in its own spaceImproves Space Before

By most standards, the kitchen in this Bay View home is small. The owner sought to improve its functionality within the existing confines. By focusing on details, we created a better space within its space. Moving a heating vent, for example, greatly increased the warm air circulation. Who wants to shiver while chopping vegetables? Other benefits of the project included:

  • Expanded countertop space
  • Added storage using custom cabinets with soft-close drawers
  • Improved visibility with energy-efficient, dimmable lighting in the ceiling and undercabinet areas
  • A butcher block cutting surface atop a portable cabinet section
  • Original maple floor restored to its long-lost luster
  • New energy-efficient window installed
