Adela Oppenheimer introduces The Metropolitan Museum of Art's new exhibit, Middle Kingdom Egypt: Grandeur and Grace, showing October 5, 2015 - January 24, 2016. The exhibit addresses the revival and re-imagining of artistic conventions, cultural principles, religious beliefs, and political systems first conceived and instituted during the Old Kingdom.
