How God used RG to restore my life...
In 2011 Anson came to RG at the age of 9 years. He was thankful to now be able to go to school and have a good bed in which to sleep. Anson doesn't remember his parents, as they both died of HIV/AIDS when he was very young.
Now Anson is 13 years old, and like most boys, enjoys the good meals his house mom cooks. Anson expressed, "God blessed me to come to RG." He says that his "favorite thing to do is to study" and that his favorite day is Sunday because "we go to church and pray." He says, "I enjoy hunting birds with my slingshot...in my spare time." Anson's favorite memory is when a python that had been eating RG chickens was killed last year. Anson has made a lot of new friends at Restoration Gateway.
We are grateful to have Anson as a part of our RG family!

What's new at RG?
New Construction
Recent changes in our workforce policy have greatly increased the speed with which construction is taking place, making the end of September 2015 our target date for completion of the surgical suite building, the surgical ward, and the obstetric/gynecology ward. The two classroom block buildings of the secondary school that will be needed by our students in January were completed ahead of schedule and except for the furnishings, stand ready to accept our students as they advance to this new level in their educational pursuits. We are grateful for those who have contributed to these important projects.
New baby home and new babies!
We now have 3 new babies at RG! This keeps Mama Winnie very busy! And it's not unusual to see an older RG girl carrying one of these babies on her back. These little ones have come from homes where the moms have died in childbirth or from AIDS. We are so grateful to have these babies here at RG where they have loving care, proper nourishment, and medical care.

We have new children!
Thanks to your faithful sponsorship, we have been able to add to our number and now care for 127 children! Some of our children still need sponsors. The number of orphaned children in Uganda is great, and we would like to bring many others to RG. Would you be willing to spread the word? Consider helping your small group, your child 's school, or your sports league get involved! Contact Heidi Clements for more information on how you can make a difference in the life of a child.

By 2024 Karuma (our village) is expected to be the industrial capital and the second largest city in Uganda!
"The most amazing news came today! I would have been no less amazed if someone had told me that God had just parted the Nile River and called for us to cross! The central government of Uganda just announced that by 2024, the political capital of the country would be moved to a town called Nakasongola which is about 120 km (74.4 miles) south of RG in the center of the country. Kampala will remain the commercial capital, and Karuma (our village) will be expected to be the industrial capital of the country and its second largest city.
So, why is this so amazing? Because God called us to this land deep in the bush of Africa, giving us His vision to build a whole community seemingly to serve the surrounding villages of war-torn northern Uganda; it now appears that His intent was to build all around us the industrial capital and the second largest city in Uganda. What an amazing location God is creating from which to impact the entire country with His Good News. What an awesome God we serve! Everything He is doing in this place will reach so many more people than we could have ever thought, dreamed, or imagined.
We are grateful to all of you who have contributed so sacrificially to be a part of this. We here at RG are so blessed to co-labor with each of you in His amazing vision.
May God bless you richly!"
Tim
