A Life Touched
Bobby* was almost 8 years old when brought to Restoration Gateway in 2010. Bobby's parents had both died, and he was taken to live with his elderly grandmother. When she could no longer provide for Bobby, he was brought to RG.
Even at such a young age, Bobby had already experienced severe trauma. Once, when given the responsibility of herding cows, he was surprised by a snake on his path. In trying to escape, Bobby tripped, fell in the mud and was bitten on the leg by the snake. Fortunately, Bobby recovered with only a scar and has full use of that leg. He's a very active boy here at Restoration Gateway.
Bobby will soon celebrate his 11th birthday and is one of our top students at RG. He's in P5 (5th grade) and has a keen awareness of God's love for him. Bobby's listening to the still, small voice of God and desires to follow Jesus. Please pray that Bobby will continue to grow in wisdom and stature and fulfill God's plan for his life.

Ophans Needing Sponsorship
At Restoration Gateway we have 19 children just like Bobby in need of sponsorship. Each child was created in God's image and has a wonderful story of restoration in their new home. They all have varied histories but they have one thing in common ----- they need your support and encouragement in their future.
The sponsorship program at Restoration Gateway is different from other sponsorship programs which simply supplement a child's educational or nutritional needs. Sponsorship at RG includes:
- A new home to live in, with a bed and belongings of their own
- All meals
- Clothing
- Stipend for their house mom
- Salaries for their teachers
- School books and supplies
- Indoor and outdoor recreation areas, playgrounds and soccer fields
- Medical care provided by RG
Contact Restoration Gateway for more information on how you can make a difference in the life of a child.

Uganda's President Lands at RG!
The president of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, landed his helicopter on the RG soccer field on August 12th. President Museveni was headed to the nearby village of Karuma to celebrate the launching of the hydroelectric plant that is scheduled to be built on the Nile and bring much needed power to the region.
Thou gh touring or speaking at Restoration Gateway was not on his agenda for the day, President Museveni took time out of his very busy schedule to greet the RG kids. Our president has a great love for children, and he paused to encourage them that day. In just 14 months RG has hosted both the First Lady and the President of Uganda! President Musevini assured us that he would come back for a proper tour of RG.
