Littleport Library Book Festival - 5-17 September 
Big Friendly Read - don't forget the presentation ceremonies!
Have you completed the Summer Reading Challenge? Then come to one of the special Presentation Ceremonies to receive your Big Friendly Read certificate and medal!

Cherry Hinton Festival - 10-17 September 
Cherry Hinton Library will take part in this year's Cherry Hinton Festival, with a range of children's activities, a book group meeting, and an evening with local author Rosy Thornton, talking about her new book Sandlands on Thursday 15 September.

Open+ at St Ives Library
St Ives Library is now offering additional self-service hours with Open+.

Open House September Tea Party

Open House is a long-term creative programme with Kettle's Yard and communities in North Cambridge. They will host a tea party at Arbury Court Library, 10 September, 10am - 2pm.
 
There will be story telling with Marion Leeper at 12noon and repeated at 1pm, about journeys and maps in the children's library, badge making and postcard drawing inside the library and many more activities throughout the day.
 
Launch of the Cromwell Museum Trust - Saturday 10 September
On Saturday 10 September, Huntingdon will turn Cromwellian! To mark the launch of the new Cromwell Museum Trust there will be a range of activities in the town, including Cromwellian tours, a visit from the Sealed Knot, and the ceremonial handing over the Museum's front door key to the new Trust. The grand assembly room in the Town Hall will be open, and there will be a selection of historical documents on display in the archives searchroom in Huntingdon Library. The fun starts at 11am and goes on until 3pm. All are welcome!

Cambridgeshire Collection 
Please note that, due to essential repairs to the shelving in the local studies store, some material in the Cambridgeshire Collection will be inaccessible between 24 October and 14 November 2016. The Collection will remain open for enquiries and use of the newspaper microfilms will be unaffected during this period. Please contact us for further details.
Cambridge Volunteer Centre
The Cambridge Volunteer Centre run drop in sessions in the foyer of Central Library the first Saturday of each month, 11am to 1pm - they will next be there tomorrow.  They promote over 500 volunteering opportunities and help people find volunteering that interests them.

In addition to the drop-in they can offer one to one sessions during weekdays and offer telephone or online assistance. See
