New opening hours announced for Libraries and Archives from 25 April
Some Cambridgeshire Libraries and Archives opening hours are set to change from Monday 25 April, to make savings in line with the Council's business plan. The pattern of hours has been set following feedback from consultation with local residents.

Some 1,400 people took part in the surveys to shape the new opening times at our seven largest libraries (Cambridge Central, Ely, Huntingdon, March, St Ives, St Neots and Wisbech) and the Archives collections (Cambridgeshire Archives, Huntingdonshire Archives and the Cambridgeshire Collection).

We will also make reductions across various sections of stock following feedback on priorities for spending.

Thank you to those who took the time to respond to the public consultation.
Grantchester City Read
As part of the World Book Night celebrations, we want to encourage as many people as possible to read a 'City Read' by giving away free copies of 'Sidney Chambers and the Shadow of Death' (book one in the Grantchester series) by James Runcie. We will give away 600 copies supplied by Bloomsbury from Wednesday 6 April. Pick one up, read it, then pass it on.

The promotion is run in conjunction with Bloomsbury Publishing and The Reading Agency Reading Partners Programme. (Free copy subject to availability).

Visit our website or follow us on Facebook and Twitter to find where you can collect your copy.
BBC Make it Digital
BBC Make it Digital is a BBC led UK-wide initiative to inspire people to get creative with coding, programming and digital technology.

We're supporting the initiative with the likes of our Tea & Tablet event at March Library and online services demonstrations.
