 Christmas at Cambridgeshire Libraries!
christmas_tree_jolly.jpg
There are lots of festive activities taking place at your local library this Christmas. Families can enjoy the Christmas Colouring Competition at Ely Library,  a host of Christmas events at St Neots Library and the Arthur Christmas Festive Fun and Film Screening at Ramsey Library (5 December). Why not visit Santa at Littleport Library (5 December) or St Neots Library (21 December).

Our Christmas Engage events will also run throughout the county during December.

As Christmas is a time for giving, we'd like to remind everyone that we are always happy to receive donations of good quality books or magazines. Just drop them off at your local library.

Those visiting Central Library can also add a "why I love my library" bauble to the Christmas tree, when they give a small donation to the library.
Christmas holiday opening times

Rock Road Library Survey
Have you visited Rock Road Library in the past? If you have, what did you think of it? If not, what is stopping you from going?

A group of Cambridge University students have been asked by the Friends of Rock Road Library to find out people's views of the library, and offer suggestions for how it could be improved. Please complete the library survey to help us formulate proposals for what Rock Road Library should look like in the future.
Histon Beer Festival £2500 donation to Friends
Histon Beer Festival has kindly donated £2500 to the Histon & Impington Library Friends (HILF). A cheque was presented to the group at the Red Lion pub on 23 November.

Thank you to the organisers of the beer festival for their generosity and support.

A public income generation workshop took place on Saturday 7 November. We'd like to thank everyone who attended to share and explore ideas for the library service. The work of the Member Review Group and the workshop itself were discussed at the Highways and Community Infrastructure Committee on 1 December. The Member Review Group will continue to meet over the coming weeks, before recommendations are made for longer term plans.
Cambridge Volunteer Centre visit Central Library
The Cambridge Volunteer Centre run drop in sessions in the foyer of Central Library the first Saturday of each month 11am - 1pm (next session on 5 December).  They promote over 500 volunteering opportunities and help people find volunteering that interests them.
