Cambridgeshire Online Book Club - discuss, comment and recommend online!
|
The Cambridgeshire Online Book Club has relaunched, and instead of everyone reading and commenting on the same book, there are now two featured lists, each with around a dozen titles.
All the featured books are available from Cambridgeshire Libraries - some are also available as eBooks and eAudio books.

Another fantastic eTech event, supported by John Lewis, will be taking place at Huntingdon Library. Drop in and get free expert advice from the staff, try out a tablet or e-reader, discover what they can do. There's no pressure to buy, as this event is purely to inform the public. |

Funding for new Sawston Community Hub
|
Funding has been allocated to create a community hub in Sawston. The hub will provide a new home for Sawston Library following a serious fire which closed the library in 2012.
The library is currently operating from a temporary building installed at Sawston Village College.

Read It Again! books for Yaxley Library
|
Friends of Yaxley Library have kindly bought a set of Read It Again! books (our Picture Book Award) so that is it easier for the schools in Yaxley to take part in the competition. Read it Again! is a unique award for a first-time picture book where the words and pictures are the work of one individual. Thousands of Cambridgeshire children in local schools read, discuss and then vote for their favourite book from a shortlist of eight titles, all by first-time author/illustrators. |
