Experience: "Glamping" - Girls' Trip to Fort Langley Camping

Whether you're a full-time mom, working mom, or a single lady, one of the hardest things about being a woman today is finding time for yourself. "Glamping" or "Glamour Camping" is a style of camping that's accessible to everyone, and can be a great way for a group of women to come together for some "me time".

 

Fort Camping in Brae Island Regional Park, like many sites around BC, has introduced tent cabins to their mix, offering families and other groups the perfect venue for an easy weekend away. Recently we sent a team of women to "glamp" in Fort Langley - click here to see how their weekend turned out:

Lillooet, nestled in the Fraser Canyon, is a small community with rugged beauty and diverse culture. Lillooet can be reached via the wonderfully scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway (#99) from Vancouver (254 km/3 hrs) or Kamloops (165 km/2 hrs), or from Lytton via Highway 12.

 Explore the Kettle Valley Railway &  Valleys of the South Okanagan 

The Kettle Valley Railway 

hangs on to the side of mountains and straddles deep valleys providing the traveller with amazing scenery and spectacular views.

Mountain Bikers 

Considered an engineering marvel, this historic railway, built in the early 1900s, has long been out of service, but it still draws visitors eager to explore the southern part of the Okanagan. Over the years parts of the railway bed have been converted to trails that are highly popular with both cyclists and hikers. Visitors can access these trails from the towns of Tulameen, Coalmont, Princeton, Summerland, Penticton, Naramata, Beaverdell, Rock Creek, Midway, Greenwood and Grand Forks
